History, Mission, and Goals
Since 1971, Cancer Family Care has become known as the heart of cancer support in Greater Cincinnati. Our non-medical, psychosocial programs and services (those pertaining to the psychological/mental health and social impacts brought on by the disease) have been instrumental in providing information, education, hope, and comfort to community members dealing with cancer. We have a beneficial impact on more than 4,000 people each year.
Our mission is to strengthen the well-being and alleviate the suffering of children, adults, and families coping with cancer.
Our goals are:
- To help individuals improve management of cancer-related stress or the death of a loved one
- To help individuals get back to work and resume their normal lives more quickly
