Join Advanced Sommelier and Food Blogger Bethanie Butcher and Susan Verschoor for a night of fantastic food and wine you’ll be sure to remember.  Bethanie Butcher will craft a six course dinner for eight people paired with wines from the extensive cellar of Susan Verschoor in a contemporary downtown home.  You’ll start the evening on the balcony (weather permitting) overlooking the downtown Cincinnati skyline with Champagne and hors d’ouevres and then move into the dining area for a true feast.  Bethanie will be alternating courses crafting traditional favorites with new modern twists. Bethanie brings in molecular gastronomy techniques like sous vide, spherification, and compression.  Susan has selected Champagne and wine to match each course featuring such stellar wines as 2000 Chateau D’Armailhac, 2007 Bergstrom,  2012 Lynmar Estate Quail Hill Chardonnay, 2011 Blair Fox and dessert wine and bourbon ready to close out the evening.   The wine alone has a value of nearly $900.  Last year this dinner was hotly contested and many parties have already expressed interest.

12 fortunate guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind gourmet grillout at the Indian Hill home of Irwin & Barbara Weinberg. Your experience begins with a tour of their art acquisitions, wine cellar and unique corkscrew collection. Dine al fresco in a beautiful setting as you taste a sumptuous feast of rack of lamb, rack of veal, rack of pork and wild caught salmon. The finest red wines are selected to accompany these foods. Pat Gaito is your grill master and Irwin Weinberg is your wine steward. CHEERS!
